Blood diamond has two main topics – Blood Diamonds, human rights (childsoilders, white uses black people for their advantage),

Blood Diamond is a thriller. Blood Diamond is a film that illustrates human rights issues like forced labor, forced conscription, rape, murder, and mutilation that occurred during the Sierra Leone Civil War. International laws such as the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme were put in place to prevent the trade in conflict diamonds and to ensure that diamonds are not used to fund armed conflict.

The main character is Solomon the movie. The major part of the film you see from his and his family`s point of view. The RUF burn`s Solomons village, they chop of the villagers hands and kidnap the strongest children and men they use the children as childsoilders and the men as diamond diggers. When they were about to chop of Solomon hands the leader says loudly “ Not this one. Put him in the truck. Bring him to the mines. He can work” one of the things I reconized in this sentence was that he said “not this one” and when he uses the word this on I think more of an object then a person. And I think the reason why he says “this one” instead of “him” is because they did not treat them like human and more like objects.
