The story takes place during the Apartheid system that lasted from 1948 until 1994. It’s is a good, and exciting movie, that shows how black and white people were different. And how the white people had all the power in South Africa and the black did not have any power.
The story begins when Gordon Ngubene’s son Jonathan Ngubene dies. Jonathan and his school made a peaceful demonstration through the town. But soon the demonstration becomes violent, and Jonathan disappears. Gordon looks for his son, and finds out the he is dead, then Gordon starts investigating his son’s dead.
Gordon works for Ben Du Toit. He is a South African school teacher. The story takes place during the Apartheid system, which lasted from 1948-1994. Ben Du Toit is willing to help Gordon, because Ben doesn’t think it is fair, and Gordon is a god man that only wants his son’s dead body. Ben knows a lot of people, especially them with power. The government finds out what Gordon is doing, and they torture him, and kill him. And the only thing he wanted, was to find he’s son.
Ben Du Toit will not give up the case, and he fights for Gordon and Jonathan Ngubene. He helps Gordon’s wife Emily, because she will find out how her husband and son died. Ben asks Ian Mackenzie a human rights attorney, to assist him with the case. Ben keeps fighting for this family, also when Emily died. Because he can see how bad his people, treats the black people. Bens wife Susan leaves him, because in her eyes he is a “traitor”. His son Johan, helps him, when his daughter Suzette be traits her own farther.
