The story take place in a village in German, but in an American zone. Orphanage home. The story is based on a real story.
In the start is it in an orphanage, then it is in the solider camp where he is getting chocolate and other stuff and in the end it is in the orphanage.
In the start is Joe very asocial, but when he takes to the camp he is social on that way he want to meet his father.
It is a detailed for example when the soldiers ask him for chocolate and other stuff the writer describe it in details at that way that other persons is comment on each other’s comments.
No I don’t think so because if he want to make a determined atmosphere he had described it more in details.
Yes the little boy Joe is totally down because he thinks the lieutenant is his father. Also Peter is sad and we see that because he is bulling Joe with his father and that is a sign at that way he has no confidence because of his mother, father, sister and brother has disappeared.
