The purpose of this assignment is to provide an explanation for the definition of The Golden Section including the divine Proportion ? (phi), and also an explanation for the definition of the Golden Rectangle. The Golden Section is the ratio of the line segment where C divides the line segment AB in The Golden Ratio. The result that appears is phi which is given by the number 1.61803 called the divine Proportion. Another result for The Golden Section is 0,61803. Both results have the same decimals. The Golden Rectangle has almost the same definition as the Golden Section. In practice, all rectangles with a ratio of 1.61803 and 0.61803 between the long side and the short side respectively, are collectively called the Golden Rectangles. By means of the Golden Section and the Golden Rectangle it is possible to make a logarithmic spiral to find C, which then divides the line segment AB in the Golden Section and thereafter in the Golden Rectangle.

By removing the largest possible square in the Golden Rectangle .........Then you get the logarithmic spiral when you remove the largest possible square in the Golden Rectangle etc. Then you talk about the logarithmic spiral. This means that there is a near connection between the Golden Section and the Golden Rectangle.
