I have been doing my project about Euclid and his elements.
In the beginning, I will start to tell you about geometry and how it became a part of our world and life today. Geometry started in Egypt, where the people used geometry to get an overview about the countries size after the Nile over flood.
Euclid’s elements are based on 13 books, where I’m focusing on book 1 which is about geometry. I have done to sentences that I have proved and explanted.
After words I have analysed the documentary genre in the documentary “the history about the number 1” The documentary tells us how people started using numbers and geometry at the very beginning, where they draw lines in bones. The lines became a symbol, the number 1 as an element. After words it went very fast and mathematic had a new turn and became the first written language. Egyptians invented Definitions of a measuring unit, as a man arm from elbow to finger tips plus a man hands width.
Big mathematicians, like Pythagoras discovered a whole new way to use the number 1, as through the years have become the way we use numbers today.
